About Jerry Franklin

Jerry Franklin, principal broker/owner, received his real estate license in 1979 and established Eastern Oregon Realty in the early 1980s. “Eastern Oregon Realty is the oldest locally-owned real estate company in Grant County, and our agents pride themselves in providing quality service to buyers and sellers which has created many lasting friendships.” Jerry was born and raised in Michigan. He graduated from high school in 1958 and joined the Air Force a year later. After his discharge in 1963, he moved to Henderson, Nevada where he later became a business owner. Eventually, he was elected to the city council, becoming the youngest councilman to ever serve there. He became heavily involved in the future development of Southern Nevada. In 1973, Jerry and his family passed through Grant County on vacation and fell in love with eastern Oregon. One year later, he moved to Prairie City with his wife and family, purchasing a motel and restaurant. He enjoys hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities and is actively involved with the Chamber of Commerce and other area boards helping to promote Grant County.
