About René Mabe

I first visited Eastern Oregon in 1989, moving to Heppner for a timber position with the US Forest Service. Like many others, I instantly fell in love with the mountains, the rural communities, and the people. In 2002, my family officially made Grant County our home where we raised three boys in this beautiful and unique community. I retired from the Malheur National Forest in 2013 and currently enjoy life on our family ranch.Originally from Northern Nevada, I am a graduate of the University of Nevada/Reno with a Master of Science degree in Mining Engineering/Mined Land Reclamation and a Bachelor of Science degree in Range and Forest Management. Passionate about working outdoors, I enjoyed a 30-year career with the Forest Service that required frequent moves for my family. I have personally undertaken both the home buying and selling process several times over, and fully understand the challenges and frustrations that clients can experience. My education and work history have helped me develop skills that translate seamlessly into real estate. Meticulous, energetic, and dedicated to my clients, I am committed to making the buying and selling process as stress free as possible. If you are thinking about making a move, I would love the opportunity to assist you in discovering your own little piece of Oregon to call home.
