About René Mabe

René is a former U.S. Forest Service professional who relocated to Eastern Oregon in 1989 and eventually settled in Grant County with her family. With a strong background in land management and a passion for the outdoors, she brings attention to detail and dedication to helping clients navigate the real estate process with confidence and care.

I first visited Eastern Oregon in 1989, moving to Heppner for a timber position with the US Forest Service. Like many others, I instantly fell in love with the mountains, the rural communities, and the people. In 2002, my family officially made Grant County our home where we raised three boys in this beautiful and unique community. I retired from the Malheur National Forest in 2013 and currently enjoy life on our family ranch.Originally from Northern Nevada, I am a graduate of the University of Nevada/Reno with a Master of Science degree in Mining Engineering/Mined Land Reclamation and a Bachelor of Science degree in Range and Forest Management. Passionate about working outdoors, I enjoyed a 30-year career with the Forest Service that required frequent moves for my family. I have personally undertaken both the home buying and selling process several times over, and fully understand the challenges and frustrations that clients can experience. My education and work history have helped me develop skills that translate seamlessly into real estate. Meticulous, energetic, and dedicated to my clients, I am committed to making the buying and selling process as stress free as possible.     I was very pleased and appreciative that I had Rene representing me on my recent acquisition.
    The parcel is zoned Agriculture, but Deschutes county had multiple layers of minor restrictions. Rene was excellent at sorting
    through and explaining the different aspects of the conditions, so much so, that I felt both informed and prepared.
    She was extremely willing to be onsite for multiple inspections, even though the parcel was not at all conveniently located for her, this contributed greatly to my willingness to purchase this semi remote piece.
    When and if my needs change, and if this parcel (with its gorgeous turn of the century barn) no longer suits me, I will absolutely
    re contact Rene to assist me with its sale. If a replacement small ranch or seclude cabin with live water becomes my next move,
    I am confident Rene will successfully locate such a piece.
